Pursuant to applicable law, residents of certain states are granted the right to opt-out of the “sale” or "sharing" (which includes the use of personal information for targeted advertising) of their personal information. Summersalt does not sell user information in the traditional sense; that is, we do not generate revenue from disclosing your data. However, in order to provide you with personalized ads about our services on other platforms, we may share information with third parties or they may automatically receive certain limited information associated with you and/or your device(s) (such as cookies, advertising IDs, and usage activity) as part of your use of our services. We also may share information, including contact information and your interests, with third parties, which may include data exchanges, data co-ops, or our partners for co-branded or jointly offered products, so that they can provide ads or information that may be of interest to you. These types of sharing are described further in our Privacy Policy, and may be considered a “sale” or "sharing (including use for targeted advertising)" from which certain residents are granted the right to opt out under applicable law.
You have choices about how your information is sold or shared, and may restrict this selling or sharing in the following ways:
Privacy Center
- You can opt out of selling or sharing your information by visiting our Privacy Center.
- We use Facebook's pixel, advance matching and Conversion API. Customer activity data is tracked via Facebook and this can be disconnected by the customer from their Facebook account, click here to do so.
Other Ways to Opt Out of Online Ad Personalization
- Browser settings: You can use your browser’s settings to clear, delete, or prevent ad personalization cookies from being set on your browser. Instructions for how to do this on the different types of browsers can be found here: https://www.allaboutcookies.org/manage-cookies/.
- On your mobile device, you can change your device’s privacy settings to control how companies collect and use advertising identifiers. Instructions for how to do this on different types of mobile devices can be found here: https://www.networkadvertising.org/mobile-choice.
- DAA Opt Out Tool (for browser): Many of our advertising partners participate in the Digital Advertising Alliance (DAA), an industry organization that offers tools to help consumers control how data from their web browsers is used for ads personalization. Certain consumers can opt out of “sales” or "sharing" of information by companies that participate in the DAA CCPA Opt-Out Tool by visiting https://optout.privacyrights.info/ and following the instructions on that page for websites and apps. Any consumer can also use the DAA AdChoices tool, available at https://youradchoices.com/control, to opt out of participating companies’ use of their data for interest-based advertising purposes.
Please note that if you have configured your browser’s settings to block cookies you may not be able to set the opt-out cookie and may see a message that an “Opt-Out is Blocked by Browser Settings,” or that an “Opt-Out is Temporarily Unavailable.” In addition, if you clear or delete cookies on a particular browser, you will need to reset the opt-out cookie.
