I want to start this by saying that I never win anything. I mean, I won a tent in a raffle at a sporting goods store in like 1987, but that is about it. I first found out about about Pearls VI from a Facebook friend's post whom took part in their photo shoot and is featured on their website pearlsvi.com. I am a part of a BVI facebook group called BVI Community Board and I subsequently noticed that Pearls VI was sponsoring a Facebook friending contest about a week or so ago.
The concept of the contest was that the 500th person to recommend Pearls VI as a friend to one of their Facebook connections (and then that person doing so) would both win -- a pearl necklace and a pair of pearl earrings, respectively. Then this morning while I was taking care of some items related to SummerSalt, I noticed a post that announced that their friend list was at 495 - only 5 more to go. This was very compelling to me, so I just randomly hit up my FB connections for about 60 seconds and many of them did in fact friend Pearls. The timing was such that I became the co-winner. I was thrilled!
I want to thank everyone that liked Pearls VI today, upon my suggestion: Molly Molones VI, Rick Moore, Daydreamer Daysails, Sebastians Bvi, St-Thomas Yacht-Club Racing, New Horizon-Clothing, and HerbieCatering Chef. Thank you as well to Rod Gautier my co-winner. And thanks especially to Pearls VI Tortola for throwing this awesome contest. Additional accolades to Pearls is due for this great example of social marking savvy. Well done, guys
Keep your eyes pealed for more contests to come from Pearls VI Tortola - they have a giveaway on their Facebook page every Wednesday. Also, I have a Pinterest contest where we are giving away 3 nights at SummerSalt villa at Smuggler's Cove, Tortola - details here: 3 Nights Free
What's next for my winning streak? Fingers crossed that it'll be a monstrous Powerball victory! You can rest assured that I'd spread the wealth of a Powerball win around all of Tortola. Picture an old school Bomba's Shack full moon party, but several orders of magnitude more intense #itsgonnagetweird.
